All who come to me I keep. All who leave I set free.
But ever do I stand against those who carry not my key.

Be It Known That Ravenwood Honors

It is with great sadness that Ravenwood gives reverence to Lady Galadriel, Founder and Queen Elder of the Unicorn Tradition, whom passed away Wednesday, February 8th at 6:25 p.m.

Lady Galadriel had been fighting a debilitating liver disorder for the past few years and early summer 2005 had finally received a long awaited liver transplant. Earlier, in the week of February 8th, 2006, she had been hospitalized to repair a malfunctioning drain on her liver. She had lost a lot weight and was in severely weakened condition so she was intubated to assist her breathing. The decision was made to remove the breathing aparatus at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 8th, 2006.

Her family, friends, coven, and the Craft community at large have suffered a tremendous loss. Lady Galadriel leaves behind a vast legacy woven in love and wisdom. The history of the Craft in Atlanta would not be the same without her. Her daughter, grand daughter, and great granddaughter groups circle the world. Many have passed through her doorstep and blossomed from the experience. Her commitment to the Covenant of the Goddess and her service at the local and national levels were extraordinary. Most importantly however, she was completely devoted to her family. Most couples I know looked to Lady Galadriel and Lord Athanor's love, friendship, and partnership as an example to strive for in their own relationships and her sons always brought a twinkle to her eye and a ready smile to her face. She will be missed by all.

Until we meet again in the Summerlands, journey well Great Lady...
